Trying to find out why my minis wiring is different.
The background, I have stripped the old dash out, labeled all the wires and created a diagram. Now my ignition circuits look nothing like a mini one, so my guess is the previous owner did some mods.
In short, I have a Honda Prelude ignition unit (NEC MC-5187) connected between to the coil (labeled 11380-B 252599) and the disti (unknown but not mini, comment from mechanic).
I have attached a wiring diagram that shows the wiring the best I can. The white (w) wire to the coil I believe is the power and the blue (b) wire in the coil is for the tacho.
Any ideas why my mini is setup this way? Should I delete it and try go back to the original setup and change the disti?
