I've just bought a job lot of primary gear thrust washers but there are 2 different size's.    53.85mmOD  + 46.1mmID     and     55.8mmOD  +  46.1mmID. So the same ID's for 1275 gears but the OD's are different, Are the smaller ones for a-series and bigger for A+? Does it matter which ones are used?

Thanks

Nice !!

What colour is green ?

They are all 1275 types. The early ones were bigger on the OD, then I think mid-80's (?) they reduced the OD slightly.

Excellent cheers mate! Cost saving or less surface area so less friction  . I thought it may have been the other way around as I took apart a metro 1275 to see what that had, and that was the larger ones.

Whats the "what colour is green ?" comment?
