Hello all,

I'm looking to replace the exhaust on the rally car I'm refurbishing...looking for recommendations.  Currently the car [supposedly] has a 1440cc engine, 48 DCOE Weber, and this well worn 2" system that was held on by some very nice hose clamps:

Will be doing the entire system, header and all...really like the idea of a 3-into-1 header to eliminate the y-pipe...but whatever is best.   :shifty:

Thanks!

Pat

What do you mean by 3 into 1 header? The one for the 998 engines or the one for the race engines that has a 3 way Y piece?

you want a good LCB with Y piece (header) then you will need a suitable exhaust system 2” will be rights a side exit will be a little quieter than a center exit. Good skid plates help it not get knocked off.

just order the whole set headers and system from Maniflow.

Thanks Nick.

The 3-into-1 I saw was like this:

I'd looked at the Swiftune manifold/system here:  Mini A-Series Manifold Systems, Exhaust Systems and Exhaust Components (swiftune.com)

But as much as I say I don't care what it costs that sounds a little ridiculous to me.

Looks like this is what I'll get then:

2" SINGLE BOX CENTRE EXIT SYS (LS005B) Classic Car Exhausts Manifolds Maniflow

LARGE BORE (road) LCB (LM005) Classic Car Exhausts Manifolds Maniflow

Thanks for the help.

Pat
