Like many of you I frequent a good amount of Mini parts for sale groups on Facebook. Well I have had the displeasure of doing business with Melvin Lockey dba: MELVS CLASSIC MINI PARTS. I feel like I have been very patient while being fed numerous lies from him. To make a very long story short,
Melvin placed an ad with some bits for sale. I inquired, and we agreed upon a price including shipping to me in the States. A prompt payment from me on that day, (March 4th) and after numerous “I will send you the tracking number tomorrow” or being told he will “post out tomorrow”, “will sort tomorrow”, “must be lost at the postal” “i’ll send another pair”…….. as of today (May 19th) I have not received anything from him. Not a tracking number, nor a package. After many ignored private messages from Melvin, I felt I needed to alert all of us fellow mini enthusiasts. I had posted in a few of the mini parts for sale groups on Facebook, which prompted Melvin to now get in touch with me via Private message He demand I delete my post. He would refund me 2x what I paid him if I deleted my post. My reply was as soon as I receive payment I would give him my word that I would delete my posts. I still have not received any such repayment.
Many comments were made that Melvin was a good lad and shipped out his bits. But there were just as many comment with people in the same situation as myself. So I know I am not alone with his shenanigans.
Just a buyer beware!!!!

His postage has always been shocking and his observed attitude towards customers at shows is less than professional. With the sheer amount of parts he's moving, there are many customers that have had good dealings with him that merely dwarf the occasional bad experience.

I hope he finally refunds you and stops being a petulant adult.

Noted
Good luck with resolving it, probably easier to buy from a reputable place.
