I'm routing my own fuel lines, because I'm converting a carbed Mini to Specialist Components EFI. I'm searching some very clear pictures of the routing of the fuel lines around the rear subframe, to and from the fuel filter and in the boot to the tank. I'm trying to replicate as much as possible, so anything is helpful. I have been searching through the forum and found some pictures of the blue MPI Ben_O has restored, but it gives not enough detail of the routing...

Does anyone have a set of pictures? Preferably of a new/OEM installation?

That's probably my OCD  :D , I want it to look more or less OEM... I also bought the SPI fuel filter and the lines that go with it. Only the lines front to back will be made custom (see my build thread).

Thanks a lot  ! Do you have a picture from the other side of the fuel filter? And from the boot (connections to the fuel tank)?

Fair play if you want original looks, nothing at all wrong with that.Looks to be a complex construction just to enable the subframe fitting on the production line, and how often do you remove it?Keep up the good work,Steve..

I'd recomment that you don't use the OEM injection fuel filter with the screw on unions, they rust solid and are a real pain to change at service time.  I've swapped mine for a widely available one with push on fitments. The one I have is the correct length  diameter to fit in the existing holder.

Yes, seems like you have a good point, but if you ever have to remove the subframe, it’s a real PITA if you routed the fuel lines underneath

And thanks for the compliment!

Thanks for the advice! I already have all of the pipework and filter, including the bracket (from DSN classics). I’ll give it a good smear of copper grease…

It is also worth noting the filter and fittings changed in the last couple of years of production . The fitting reducer/adapter WKB10019 can be deleted if the later setup is used. Requires filter WJN101190 and tank-side line WKB10018L.

Fuel tanks, fuel pump and fuel systems - multi point injection : Somerfo... (somerfordmini.co.uk)

The clips that secure the 3 lines to the seat back in the boot are fairly rare now. These can be secured with an M8 through the panel and a hex furniture cap on the clip to hold securely if you have difficulty with the factory metal screw stud.
