Hello,

I have a 96 Rover Mini Cooper - can anyone tell me where should the tool bag normally be located in the boot as there are not a lot of options. Should it sit on top of the spare tyre or by the battery box cover near the boot door? Just want to avoid rattling tools in the boot.

I'm not aware of any designated space for the tool kit.

I have my spare wheel in the boot with the wheel well facing upwards.

The tool kit will sit in that space with a bit sticking out. There is space for some other stuff which will help the tool kit from moving around too much.

I always thought that there is suffcient space on the inside of the boot lid to have a moulding that could accomodate the tool kit and other bits and pieces without it being too heavy for the wire supports when the lid is open.

Back in the day, ours always lived in the space between the battery and the wheelarch

Thanks chaps - It seems to fit between the battery box and wheel arch so I'll try that and see how it goes
