Hello
Just looking to wire in a battery cut off switch this weekend

I have this image see attached

I understand most of this, what I'm not sure about is the 2 wires to terminals marked 2

I have current wiring from ign switch to coil, etc, are these wires to terminals marked 2 seperate to that or intended to cut into current circuit?

the terminal marked 2:

one goes to Ignition switch - but where on the ignition switch does this go

is it just a jumper wire from ign switch or do I cut the current wiring so one end comes from ign switch to cut off switch

and then other is from cut off switch to coil

the other goes to ignition coil, which terminal on ign coil ? - is this a jumper wire or cut into wire so switch is in middle

thanks for help in advance

At a guess i would say the two terminals for position 2 are to break the circuit between the ignition switch in position 2 (+12v to coil) and the positive terminal of the ignition coil.

The positive terminal of the coil should be marked but you could also use a multimeter or the cable colour to see which one it is/should be.

the idea is when you crash etc, and someone pulls the pull cord,  the ignition is cut so the engine stops. So you need to cut the feed to the coil, or the ignition cable. Id do the feed to the coil its easier. Also the alti is still generating lekky until the engine stops, and that has to go somewhere or it damages the diodes in it, so that s what the resistor is for.
