I have treated my son who was 18 earlier this year to f1 tickets.
Now i havent been for 20 years, but he is really in to F1 and this is a big treat.

Just wanted to know from any body that goes regular or has been in the last 5/6 years as to, 'things you must see' or things you must take.
Best corners to stand at, things to buy etc
I am generally fairly well prepped, but i am sure that there will be something specific about the F1 and Silverstone.

I am NOT camping, just driving in each day.

Thanks for the advice.

If you have weekend tickets the best bet is to do a few things each day rather than cram everything in. We always enjoy a walk around the circuit first thing or during a support race. Probably obvious but walk against the direction of travel of the cars (makes it a lot easier to see stuff - made that mistake before).

We have weekend tickets and yesterday had an email to say we could get a pit walk on Thursday if we buy tickets to the museum. Having done the museum last year I’ll probably skip it, although it’s definitely worth visiting, but have paid to be able to do pit walk. Doubt you’ll see loads but a unique experience.

Otherwise, make the most of walking round and getting to as many of the corners as possible. Copse, Maggots & Beckets are all worthwhile. As is Woodcote.

If you have grandstand tickets they will get you roving access on Saturday.

New for this year Silverstone have sold tickets for some of the better vantage points as extras even if you are bringing your own chair so worth looking at where those sections are if you are pitching up to find your own spot.

The village in the centre of the track where the main stage is was very good last year with all the trade stall and a lot of options for food.

Most importantly enjoy the weekend!

Sunblock and a hat if there's any likelihood of sunshine. I got terribly burned when i went in 2007, and I didn't even think it was that hot.
