I am in middle of fitting an a+ engine into my mini 1000 (1973)…

I have bought full new 59D accuspark kit, my engine is turning over, I am getting fuel and the timing is right however I don’t seem to be getting any spark, I suspect may dizzy wiring is maybe not correct…

I have tested with test lamp and I am getting power to the coil with ignition turned on….

I have -

black wire from dizzy going to white/black from loom

red wire from dizzy going to + on coil

white wire from loom going to + on coil

white/black wire from loom to - on coil

I would remove the white black wires and insulate them. The red dissy goes to the white and positive of coil. The black goes to the negative of the coil. There should be instructions incorrect connection can destroy the electronics immediately.Go carefully. The black white wires go to the points and tacho if fitted.Steve..
