You mean water injection. It can be done but the mini doesn't have high enough fuel pressures so takes longer

I believe is the modern take on water injection but theres a machine that is plugged injecting hydrogen in the air intake..

After much fiddling, I did research on the timing figures of the RSP and Mainstream Cooper. (Cooper models with carb and catalytic converter) It was very hard to find the user manual, and I found one in french.

Timing should be 5degrees with vacuum advance disconnected @1000rpm.

set and done. no more run on. Hope it helps someone looking for the same information. Ill post the pdf here:

Isn't ignition timing dependant on the cam profile in the engine? I'm unsure what cam my '88 with a 1275 cc engine and single HS4 carb.

Timing should be set according to many factors, cam, compression, fuel, etc

The idle timing, total timing & the curve in the middle are all important for good performance

Totally agree,, I did to factory specs as the car is stock from factory. It fixed my issue, and I feel a power increase in how the car accelerates now. :) Thanks everyone for your help!
