Think I'm going to have to concede defeat on my original 5 bolt bumpers. Front is holed on the underside lip and rear has half a dozen dents. Visited a chroming place this morning, they sent me to a bodyshop they use to look at knocking out the dents. Basically it would cost a fortune and not be perfect.

Part if me is tempted to bung them back on but against fresh paint, particularly the rear one with its dents looks pretty poor.

Looking at the minispares offering what are people's experiences? :https://www.minispar...assic/MS25.aspx

What's the fit like?
How does the stainless look vs chrome, is it a bit dull?

Any other options?

In 2020 I fitted new chrome at the back and new SS at the front (Moss and minisport respectively). The front has the curled over edges and is less of a weapon. The chrome is a bit dull and has bloomed slightly and won’t polish out. The SS is as shiny as new but scratches very easily and won’t polish out. I prefer the SS. Neither are rusting which is good - but it’s a garage car.

I have used the Mini Spares stainless steel bumpers without over-riders and they fitted fine. I think the good thing with Mini Spares is if the parts aren't the best quality but all they can get they let you know in the description. I would have thought they would be good.

I've got the minispares ones with overriders and corner bars, they fit very well but mine are 5 years old so may be different to what they sell now. I bought one without bumper holes last year but  wasn't impressed where the ends are folded over. I wouldn't bother with chrome, they may be a tad shinier but chromed part don't seem to last 5 minutes.
