I know it's a stupid question but I've purchased a clutch kit as my one was faulty and its a Borg and beck but the clutch disc hasn't got any grooves in it at all.
I thought these where to help remove dust etc and this is the only one I can see that has it like this.
I'm assuming it's fine as it wouldn't be made otherwise but just wondering if anyone has used a similar clutch and if there's any benefits to not having grooves.

The mini has had lots of different clutch plates, often differing by the power of the engine and the manufacturer. You don't say your cars spec, but the 190mm verto clutch plate used on later 1275's don't appear to have grooves.

Ok that's good I thought I bought a wrong clutch lol. I'll assume all is well then just never heard of a clutch without grooves and Google wasn't helping (surprise surprise)
