Hello,

I have recently started cleaning the interior and noticed that the drivers seat will not lock into position, the passenger seat successfully locks into position several times. What I noticed is that the lever sticks out and the hook underneath the seat will not come into contact with the metal part on the floor to hook into place.

Has anyone had a similar experience or resolved it ?

I am planning to fettle with the system probably loosening and adding WD40.

Appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

Best Regards

I just picked up an MPI and noticed the same thing. Mine is being caused by seat extenders. It’s very obvious as the hook that locks in place is hitting the end of the bar where it locks in place.

I've had to bend the hook back in to the correct angle before for it to hook instead of sit on top of the rail.

I just noticed that my self, it seems that It was bent outwards.

What tools did you use? and did you fix it without removing the seat off the car ?

Hello,

Situation resolved by hammering it and took 5 minutes to align, very easy.
