Probably the manufacturer and their part number.
The 010 will no doubt mean they are 10 thou oversize to suit a reground crank.

maybe an ex race engine ? Race regs ?
Its 998 + 60 with flat tops
I've googled but found nothing
Will be rebuilding soon

Not sure how the bearing shells would imply anything about it being a ex race engine.
Just from that info its a 998 that's had some machining work over the years, but would need to know much more to establish whether it was anything special - it could just have had a long, hard, poorly maintained life.....

Does the other bearing half look the same? If yes it should have the same number. If not the number or last letter will be different.
just UK made/registered bearings. Nothing to do with any race spec.

County are a brand of Bearing (and other engine components). They are not what I'd class as 'Race' or heavy duty parts, they are fine for run of the mill and mild tuning though.
