Hi

 

I'm new the forum.  This is my first venture with a newer mini with an ECU & immobiliser.  I have a problem with the immobiliser as the car is turning over but there is no LED illuminated on the dash for the immobiliser.  Has anyone experienced this issue?  I would appreciate any input to trying to solve this.

Just checking, is the problem that it's not firing up, even though there's no red light showing on the dash?

Hi thanks for replying.Yes no red light at all and no noise from the fuel pump.

Try fitting a new battery in the remote.

Hit the arm button repeatedly, leave for a minute, then press disarm and then try starting the engine.

If the immobilizer is on , the red led is on, the engine will not turn over , the fuel pump will not prime

If the immobilizer is off , the red led is off, the engine will  turn over , the fuel pump will  prime

As your engine is turning over it would suggest the immobilizer is off and so the led should be off.

possable causes of the pump not running are inertia switch tripped, fuse blown or faulty relay.

Mine turns over with the immobiliser on but will not start.
I suggested the above in case the red light is not working.
