Quick recap, The idling screw gets loose and I can’t set it below 1000rpm. Timing and mixture on point. Where can I start troubleshooting?

Vacuum leak would be my first guess or something is stopping the butterfly closing to the normal idle position.

Check the fast idle screw is not holding the butterfly open.

this is what it looks like right now. there is little clearance,
Check the fast idle screw is not holding the butterfly open.
