Been restoring a 91 rover mini and its almost done. But just noticed that the brake master cylinder is leaking. There seems to be a leak between the master cylinder and the reservoir. It had been rebuild before it was put back in the car. I pulled it off the car and took the reservoir off and pulled the rubber seals from the cylinder. The bottom lip part of the seal that sits in the cylinder is folded, like its to big for the cylinder (Added pictures of them). Is this normal or could this be causing the leak.

Yes that will cause the leak, the seals are fitted first then the reservoir is pushed on to it.
Personally I don't believe in rebuilding brake/clutch cylinders as the reason they leak is due to internal corrosion wearing the seals, the damage is already done and the seals are only a temporary fix. The problem is made worse by lack of use.
The £90 for a new cylinder will hurt but not as much as what could happen if your brakes don`t work
