When we used to fit Metro 1275 engines into minis back when Metros were cheap and plentiful we used to flatten the side of the canister breather to clear the fan.
You might be able to do this if its a problem?

It's a bit of clowning around and from memory, I think I ended up fitting 2 of the thin spacers between the Fan and the Pulley.
I was running the early timing cover that had the full sized Oil Separator on it (not the later type that was flattened off). I'll add here too, I run the 55 mm 4 tube copper radiators too.
I played around with it until I got 12 mm clearance from the Fan Blade to the Harmonic Damper and also 12 mm between the Fan Blade and the Radiator core, it gave me about 4 mm clearance from the Radiator to the Inner Wing Cowling.
Later, I swapped out the Timing Cover to a 998 one that has no Oil Separator, I just run the one now on the Flywheel Housing, I find that well gives the Crankcase enough ventilation and it's less congested up the 'busy' end on the engine bay.
