Hi everyone I am thinking of fitting a sc throttle body to my turbo build and what ecu should I go for. What your thoughts and any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm not aware of anyone that's done it, though it's quite likely someone has. Plenty have have gone the 7 port route with turbo & injection.

Running quite nicely at near 180bhp.

If you're starting from scratch, don't go near the D400. I've personally gone for a Haltech Elite 1500 and basic wiring loom. Wiring it into the MPi loom has been tricky, but the Haltech lads have been very helpful.

Both good, you'll face the samw issues if you're putting it into an MPi. However, if you're starting a fresh on an A or A+, then the ECU manufacturer's harness will be an ideal starting point and relatively straight forward to wire in if you're handy with wiring diagrams and a basic understanding of ECU management (you'll need to add a trigger wheel and sensors).

Mines not an Mpi. I wouldnt have a problem with the wiring as I work in the motortrade and the guys at work will do it for me 🙂
So this is going to be my setup
1293 engine 8:5 compression ratio
Forged 18cc pistons
sc trigger wheel
T2 turbo running 7.5psi boost
Aiming for 130bhp

I am looking at something similar in the near future. I stand corrected but you can keep the CR higher and get benefits in mpg and power that way, certainly with injection

Yes and no. Higher CR can lead to detonation on a turbo car unless fuelling and timing is spot on. Sadly, due to charge robbing, accurate fueling of the cylinders isn't possible, hence why most turbo owners go for a low CR and throw fuel at the problem - It keeps the engine on the safe side to run high boost without fear of detonation. MPG between mine on cruise, and a standard MPi, is almost the same. And i'm running an 8.6:1 CR.

T2 is an old design turbo. Much better going GT752 or GBC20-300.
