Hi Guys,

I have picked up a Blaupunkt cd43 but from an MG tf to install in my 1998 MPI.

Install was perfect and I even bought an adapter from Germany that gives me Bluetooth and handsfree for calling and streaming music.

Trouble is the aerial in my car which i assume is original is too big to fit in the new head unit? The plug on the radio is smaller than my aerial connector.

I have done a search but cannot find an adapter, does anyone know what I need or at least what it is called?

Might just chance it at Halfords.

Think I might need a DIN to ISO adapter, does this sound right?

Secondly, without a cage the unit is loose and I know will fly out the dash at some point.  How can i secure it?

I'm thinking of a small bracket from the dashboard bolt to the back of the unit, anyone got experience?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Rob

Is you mean ISO to DIN adaptor, I used this one in my 1990 Cooper when fitting a modern radio, cheaper than most others I found.

I got the aerial sorted with a Halfords adapter but the cage is a mystery, I have an aftermarket cage but the radio is too big for it it cannot fit through. It is ever so slightly bent in some places so i may go and buy a new one to ensure its not just the cage.
