Any DIY methods for setting the headlight height?  Saw one entry about using flat surface, back wall of garage, 4’ distance etc. any others?

Probably the best way to go is get the MOT chap to do the job...

 

Just make sure your adjusters move easily enough and that he does not have to struggle. .Take your headlamp rims off too.

 

For them, it's probably a 2 minute job, and you know they are set correctly

 

Job done..

No MoT testers in Kansas - I got caught exactly the same last week  ;-)

 

Using a wall is as good a way as any, that's  the real world the rules will be written for. The smoke 'n mirrors gadgets just allow spanner monkeys to do the same job more conveniently.

 

I bet you could rig something up with a laser level to  make locating where the centre of the beam should be a bit more technical.
