I bought an old intake manifold and the HIF44 spacer-to-manifold surface has a couple of nicks (someone used a small screwdriver to separate two).  Perhaps the gasket might do the job to seal the mating surfaces but to be sure I want to repair it.  I don't have aluminum welding capability so my two choices are something like JB Weld for aluminum or simply a silicone based sealant like RTV.  Any thoughts?

Went for a JB Weld repair w/Hylomar Blue on the spacer’s gasket. Probably a bit of overkill. Belts and braces.

studs out to get at the face, and give it a flash over with a bit of Wet & Dry this will show iif theres any high spots, and how far the nicks go toward the carb hole. If youve got a solid 5mm or so band around the hole for the gasket to seal on I wouldnt bother trying to fill it
