And when I say 'fine' I mean that its texture, that it is not thick or as dense as, for example, Millers oil.

That's what the numbers refer to 20 cold, 50 hot. Both are towards the thicker (more viscous) end of the scale.

So it isn't thinner than, say, 15w40 - or it shouldn't be. Are you making a comparison under identical conditions, it doesn't just appear thinner because it's hotter?

I know exactly what you mean. The Castrol 20W50 and Halfords Classic both appear to be thicker oil. I've also bought Napa classic 20W50 and it looks exactly like the Minispares stuff.

Is that lower surface tension or higher "cling" rather than thinner viscosity though? - I do see it looks less "globby"

Used it for the last few oil changes, along with the Minispares filter. Not had any issues.

Cheers. Yes, contains zinc dialkyldithiophosphate.

Zink is indeed the most important ingrediënt for Mini engines.

Why all the questions? vr1 is clearly better, obvious on price point.

What oil you use.. is up to you.

Also, do a search, there a thousands of oil threads on here, never mind on facebook.
