Hey all! I have a dilemma that maybe somebody here could help me with. I have a mk1 mini that I bought maybe 10 years ago in high school and have slowly been working to get it restored. I'm sure it's a mk1 and was told it's a 63' but I never had the Vin or original paperwork for it. I do have a title but it's titled off of the bonnet support plate.
Does anybody know of a way to identify my car or if there is a way to find the original Vin?

You should have a Vin/Chassis plate either on the bonnet slam panel or on the radiator shroud top. A Morris starts M/A2S4 S .... An Austin starts A-A2S7 ...... or similar. I think that there's a decoder on Minimania's website.

as above - VIN numbers were stamped on aluminium plates and then riveted to the car
