Hi all,new to the mini scene and i have just bought a 95 spi carb converted.anyways,im trying to fit led bulbs on my tail lights. The brake lights initially didnt work but wiring load resistors on the green and ground wire solved the probelm. Now heres the problem. if i turn on the tail lights, the brake lights dont flash but if i turn off all lights, brake lights work.

That would typically be an earthing problem. The current from lights in question would use the other lights attached at the unearthed earth points to find another earth

It may be down to your led bulbs though. Are they  replacements for the original twin filament stop/tail bulbs? . Adding resistance before one of the leds could make the voltage higher on the shared earth than between the resistor you added and the, brake led.

For Brake Lights, you shouldn't need any load resistors. They are normally only used on Indicators as some Flasher Cans need load in order to flash.

As Ethel suggests above, the issue here sounds to me like bad earths on your rear lamps.
