Can anyone recommend a supplier to build me customised looms to my specification? I want to replace my entire electrics following getting too close to a fire breaking out last year - blade fuses, more relays etc, and braided where they can be seen in the engine bay etc.

Wired by Wilson customised a standard Mini loom to my specifications for my Marcos, great work.

Autosparks do year specific and will make any additions you need. As an aside, there's nothing wrong with glass type fuses 😉

thanks both.

The standard glass fuses failed to fail when my wiring fried - possibly because I believe several sets of components are served by single fuses which may be of a higher rating than individual wires? It seems sensible when I replace the damaged wiring to add more fuses and it also seems sensible to use more a modern type. I want to keep the original fuse boxes for aesthetics and for belt and braces protection. I don't know enough about vehicle wiring to work these things out so I'll rely on Autosparks to advise.

Years ago Autosparks made me a new Mk1 loom, with some amendments like spots, which I never added, but they recommended a modern blade fuse box, I know it’s not OEM, but it’s faultless, compared to the OEM Fusebox in 1990 Cooper, which I had to replace.
