To anybody on here of a certain age this guy was a legend, when part of The Specials they produced some of the most poignant and thought provoking songs of the era. The Specials were a multiracial band in an otherwise pretty acidic time, there live gig's were brilliant, I don't normally react when some one dies but in this case I actually said out loud Oh fu##ing hell.A great guy and a decent human being to boot.

Hear Hear.  For someone of my age, the 2 Tone scene was an exciting time.  If I have one critism, I always thought Ghost Town was not their best of the genre.

I was too young to see it first hand but I have an uncle who educated me properly about music

Very sad news indeed a truly significant person in the musical soundtrack of my life

Just watched The Specials @ the Isle of Wight that has just been aired on Sky Arts this evening it’s amazing how I can remember nearly all the lyrics but can’t remember what I did yesterday and what I want when I enter a room to do or get something!!
I will always have great memories of his music from back in the good old days and for the rest of mine .
RIP Terry
