Hi all , I’ve got a 79 1275gt and wheels that are about 3 inches to wide so obviously the rub on the front. I’ve got the fibreglass arches but I need to cut the original one back , obviously I’m a little nervous as this is my first time , has anybody got any tips on making a nice clean cut and retaining the lip that runs around the perimeter or the wheel well opening. Thanks in advance

Yes, buy the diagrams that are available on Minispares website for the spirtspack type arches.

As above. Cut them back then reinforce. The entire original lip goes.
