As the title says really. Are the Lucas P700 type headlights compatible with MPI ? Has anyone done it? What’s the pros/cons? Any tips or should I just avoid???

Yes, they fit directly also in a MPi. I used them for years as my RHD-Headlights.

(As stickers are ugly, I always change headlights before crossing the canal)

 

The only fitting issue, that can occur is the side light holder. Not all fit in the holes of all headlamps and might need a change.

(All 7" inch headlamps I bought so far came with there own holders and now I have a set that fit both my LHD and RHD Headlamps)

 

But from me experience, even with the brightest H4 bulbs that were street legal in Germany in 2019, the light is still like a candle. For that reason I ditched them and replaced them with some crystal clear headlamps.

 

So in short:

Fit: yes

Look: Cool

Light: no

have p700’s, perfectly fine mate, no difference in output to wipacs free forms
