Also see if you can fit a duplex timing chain as they're alot quieter!

firstly why are you changine the chains and sprockets?? if they were calttery theres a chance you'll only need a tensioner!!
I WAS THINKING THAT WHILST I HAD ALL THE SIDE OF THE ENGINE OFF, I MIGHT ASWELL
CHANGE THE LOT.
AND YES THE TIMING CHAIN DOES SOUND LIKE A BAG OF SPANNERS GOING ROUND THE ENGINE!

check it out!! tensioner is lots easier if chain and sprockets are fine!! you'll have to take off the cover either way!! i think there is a slack measurment you can do to see weather the chain is knackered!! anyone??
SO IF THE CHAIN AND SPROCKETS LOOK AND FEEL FINE WITH NO WEAR THERES NO NEED TO CHANGE THEM.
JUST DO THE TENSIONER, WOULD THAT STOP THE BAG OF SPANNERS GOING ROUND!!

dont know what years they were fitted but some dont have a tensioner as sutch just a rubber ring that fits around the sprocket.
one way to test a chain is to hold it out straight and if it curves down its stretched.
