Hey gang,
Just wondering of someone could help steer me here.
My darling daughter has a 2017 Ford Mondeo Wagon (Estate), TDI.
It needs a pair of rear shocks, it's got the Active Suspension.
They are not a common car here and finding replacement rear shocks seem to only be available from Ford at crazy prices.
I'm happy to get a pair from the UK, I'm just not sure where to start !
Can anyone steer me here in the right direction ?
Thanks
Spider
Before you commit to paying the shipping fees, it might be worth considering if there are other cars built on the same platform that you might be more common where you are.
Looks like the 2017 Mondeo uses the Ford CD4 platform according to:
https://en.wikipedia...rth_generation)There's a few cars using that platform, but mostly Fords. Seems they've diversified a bit as if you went one generation back the previous platform was used on Fords, Land Rovers and a whole bunch of Volvos.
You are likely to be able to order some Bilstein B4s where you are, those are Bilsteins OEM replacement range and they're available for almost anything. I replaced all the shocks on my V50 last year with them and I can't say a bad thing about them, clearly well made stuff.
You can use their online catalogue to find the part number you need then search the web for that to find places selling them near you:
