Am building a mini van with a 1275 spi automatic engine. Will this type of external pump the right one to use? They have variable flow rate as various pressure.

Also found the below from another forum

Following data extracted from Rover workshop manuals:
SPI Fuel pump:
Pump pressure (at 16V) 2.7 Bar
Pressure at injector 1.0 - 1.1 Bar (elsewhere it says 1.0 +/- 4%)
Injector and regulator: JZX 3300
Pump WFX 10047
MPI Fuel pump:
Pump pressure (at 16V) 2.7 Bar
Pressure at injector 1.0 - 3.0 Bar +/- 0.2 bar (This must be a typo, not much of a regulator if the operating band goes from 1 bar low to 3 bar high!) - elsewhere it says 3.0 +/- 0.2 bar)
Injector and regulator: MKW 10016
Pump: WFX 100810

If you are using the complete SPi injection set up the regulator is built into the SPi unit body. So just feed it with whatever in-line pump you can find that does over 2.5 bar. I presume you are modifying the van fuel tank to have an additional outlet ?

This is what the inside of a standard van tank looks like with the connection to the fuel outlet.
