I've just ordered what I thought was standard track rod ends for my 91 mini. The ones that arrived have grease nipples on them. Are they the right ones? The length looks fine however the ones on my car don't have grease nipples.

What should I do?

Fit them.

If you grease them a couple of times a year, they should last for years.

My Morris Minor had grease nipples on the track rod ends, and they were trouble free for the almost 20 years that it was in the family.

There is usually minimal grease in those "sealed for life" one anyway ..

Meaning the "life" will be shorter probably .. great way to sell more spares I guess! ;)

I have actually added grease nipples to track rod ends,  and they certainly help prolong their life.

Also have a set on mine, purchased a set from Bull Motif that came with grease nipples on them.

Thanks. I ordered them from wood and Pickett on eBay.
Do I need to grease them before I install them or should they already have enough grease in them?

I didn't grease mine as I assumed them to be pre-greased.

50s and 60s stuff always used to have grease points on their track rod ends.  I still see them on lightly-used classics.

Nowadays, the rubber gaiter won't last 12 months so having the ability to grease the joint is a little pointless!

I got mine from a classic Triumph specialist, took a mini steering rack with me to check fitment at thier premises to get the correct part.

They've lasted 5 years so far 😁 and still on original rubbers

Triumph Spitfire TRE's are good as they are longer, which you need if you have negative camber lower arms.

I believe mine were indeed an inch longer too, so I had to get the alignment checked and adjusted as needed
