Hello, does anybody know what exterior sun visors will fit a classic mini? The only one I have seen for sale are at mini sport and are over 300 quid. Trying to get one second hand is like finding rocking horse sh*t.
Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks.

They were always pretty rare, I only ever knew of one Mini with one.

The remains of it are still probably somewhere in the hedge on the side of the A449 dual carriage-way between Raglan and Usk.

It blew off a girlfriend's 998 Cooper as we touched a ton one night.  It howled and we knew it had gone because we could hear the exhaust.

I swear the car picked up speed when it came off

I thought you meant metal ones like you see fitted to Moggy Minors and the like but I see those Minisport ones are perspex.
Pretty vulgar aren't they lol

That’s your only choice unless you want to make one yourself.

Buy a wheeling machine and a swaging machine and £300 will seem like a bargain.Steve..

BMC had one listed in their original accessory brochures. The part number was 37H9360, and it cost £7. 7s.:-

I did mean the metal ones!!! I think they just look cool. I'm not paying over 300 quid for a perspex one. I did see one for a Morris 1000 on ebay that I might have been able to adapt, but all 3 offers were declined straight away.

There is a company in Essex that will probably make you one in alloy, but I've got a feeling they will charge you at least double the perspex price then you will still need to paint it etc.

There's one on for £130 but it's grp not steel.Looks a lot like the mini ones.
If there's a demand I'm sure I could rustle up a mould and make grp ones for a reasonable price.Do you think the demand is there ?

In the UK nope. If there was they would have been readily available for years.

I have a green acrylic one that's for a triumph herald I believe, I'd have to get a photo of the fit but I think it could be chopped to fit if you're interested?
