Hi,

I have a 2000 Mini Cooper Sport and need some advice for a replacement exhaust system. looking for something that is as close to the original sound and look as possible. I want to replace from the manifold back and keep the cat.

what do you recommend? I know nothing about exhausts.

Many Thanks

Neil.

If you want the pea-shooter look, replace with a standard type. Nothing in stainless is close unless you have a custom system or accept a bit more noise.

Steer clear of the stock MPi downpipes GEX12043, wth the concertina flexjoint, they hang too low and get ground through (MOT failure) by speed humps.

I fitted the C-AEG371 Downpipes and link pipe for Injection Cars, from Mini Spares. Quite a bit more expensive but sits much closer to the underside of the car. Mine has that, the cat and C-STR811 RC40 rear box and pipe from cat.

It works well, IMO.
