Having finished a comprehensive 2 year rebuild of  my car i have decided to sell it. As i know it is quite rare i am trying to find out just how many are left. All the sites i look at  just state mini or mini clubman. Mine is a bright orange 1978 Mini Clubman Estate and none of the sites visited even list the estate version. Can someone point me to a site that may give me that information or does anyone on the forum know how many may be still araound

There is a mini clubman estate register on faceache (Facebook) they might have a rough idea.

Mini Clubman Estates are quite rare now and therefore when you sell it there will be a lot less on sale at any point in time for a buyer to choose from, when compared to saloons.

Price therefore tends to be quite a bit higher than an equivalent Mini saloon of a similar model, year and condition.

 

DVLA Database and 'Freedom of Information' requests to DVLA have not been much help to find out surviving numbers as the model description on logbooks/V5c is rarely detailed or exactly correct and was dependent on what the original dealer who sold the car new, hand wrote and submitted on the registration forms.

ie. 'Clubman' and 'Estate' was not always included in the model description in the days before computer drop down menu selections forced things to be more uniform!
