Ive just come across a pair of 40 dcoe webers. Is there any info that can be gleaned from the numbers?
They appear to be old ones, maybe 60's
The numbers are:
40dcoe 90
40dcoe 91
And both are marked 4M
They came on a 3 head stud manifold which I was told was Talbot sunbeam but as far as Im aware they were 5 stud heads on the inlet.
Anyone know how I could identify the manifold?

Mmmm.  An Avenger Tiger was a bit of a WOLF in sheep's clothing ------------------------ Once you got the front end set-up, and it went round corners !

Theres only around 50 Tigers left from the original 400 made so I found out last night.
I got these carbs in a job lot of mini bits but are no use to me so will be moving them on now I know what they are.

I did the 1973 RAC International Rally in a 'works' Tiger. We got a class win in Group 1 up to 1600cc which meant 'money' as well. Ford were p-ed off because we beat all the Mexicos with which they assumed they would get the class win to go with the outright win with an RS1600 driven by the late Timo Makinen (or as the Scots called him Tim O'Makinen).

Those Tigers were deceptively quick in Group 1 form and when fitted with the 1800 cc 'Brazil' block they were very good in Group 2 as well.

I was helping to service Arthur Brick and Roger Chilman,

I remember a Tiger a couple of cars in front, and hearing about it upsetting the Ford apple-cart, Lol  ---  Happy days.
