Did 1961 Minis Have Flat Sills?

Yes...at least some appear to still have had the early flat sills....but as with most BMC changes to the Mini the date stated in documents is often not exact and varied between Cowley and Longbridge built Minis.

The Mini didn't sell well initially overseas and some early cars remained unsold and were bought back to the UK, converted to right hand drive and registered here. So you could have a '59 with a 1960 or 1961 registration date. They were so easy to convert from left to right hand
