Hello everyone. Let´s see if you can help me. I am the owner of a 1991 carburettor mini cooper. I would like to change the standard rims 12x4.5" et 35 for minilite 12x5" et 0. I would like to know if someone has mounted them if it is necessary to cut the sheet metal so that the wheel turns. I understand that with the 12x5" et 14 and standard height is not neccesary. Greetings. Thank you

Put your numbers into “will they fit.com” (all one word) and see how it changes. Suspension set up has a massive effect on how things fit and work it comes down to your build.

thanks for the reply. I already used willtheyfit, the new rim would come out 41.5mm more than the one it comes with as standard. I don't want to cut sheet metal on the car and I would like to know if the 12x5" et 0 fit without having to cut. The cones are new now so the car is not too low, I also use hi-low. thank you

I know. The best way to check would be trial and error.
In some forum post I have seen that there are people who use this tire size but nothing was said about cutting sheet metal. Let's see if someone who uses this measure reads me and can guide me.
