Hello all,

After a winter of alot of work and also a *stage one* kit fitted (K&N - full RC40 exhaust with maniflow exhaust manifold - keeping the CAT) having a few drives under the belt I checked the warm up of the engine with MemsFCR connected and also to check the stepper motor position.

Everything looks GREAT but while adjusting the stepper motor position (i have set it to 33 now) i noticed that randomly the closed loop would be come open loop for a split second and then would immediately go back to closed loop. Also just idling at temperature without adjusting anything it will do the same.

It was enough for the engine to create an error code for the open circuit but not enough to effect the running engine as it was so fast.

More information -

New Bosch lambda sensor with very few KM driven.

Brand new maniflow exhaust manifold

extra earthing wire on the manifold bracket to subframe.

ECU refurbished - for none functioning lambda circuit.

Relay box NOT new - looks ok with a few corrosion spots here and there but does not appear to effect function.

The Lambda circuit goes to closed loop well under the 90 seconds from startup and the heater circuit of the Lambda sensor was tested last year when fitted and it was ok.

It might be my imagination but it appeared to go open circuit when the voltage was very low (under 100mV) but with the lag time in the reading who knows!!

Any body seen this and have an idea what might be causing this??

Thanks Jason

In my opinion, this fault code is set by mfcr. The ecu itself can not establish an error code on high or low lambda . So ask the owner ( programmer) of this tool what is the matter of this fault code.
