Metro Brake Caliper To Mini Hub - Torque Setting

Best Answer Lplus , 23 May 2023 - 08:10 AM

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the correct torque setting is for the 2 bolts which hold the calipers to the hub.

Metro 4 pot (originals). They are 3/8" UNF but somewhat special

Using these bolts: https://www.minispar...nt/ERA1128.aspx

Given they are somewhat special, unsure if there is a specific torque which should be used.

I have had my calipers off after being on about 10 years, and thought I would check before putting them back on.

35 - 40 lb.ft sound right?

Thanks

standard torque for 3/8 unf caliper bolts is 38 lb/ft from the book. Since that's the thread and the only difference in the bolt is the diameter of the plain section, I'd go with that torque.
