Revolution Rfx 12" Wheels - Are There Copies?

Best Answer Mr.greenPullover , 07 June 2023 - 11:17 AM

They could be RFX copies made by JBW (discontinued).

Check the back of the spokes for markings, the original ones have less information stamped in. As far as I remember on backside of the copies there also should be a JBW mark. (As I sold mine, I can't check anymore).

They had different centre caps. Maybe JBW still sells them...

I have a set of 4 of what I believe to be Revolution RFX 12" wheels as per picture below:

I also have a lightly damaged spare wheel to make up a set of 5.

I have a set of centre caps for the wheels. However, the caps are too small for the holes in the black wheels. They fit the spare. The spare is a genuine Revolution marked wheel. I cannot see any detailing markings on the back of the black wheels. There looks to be slight differences between the wheels where the wheel nuts go, but the correct RFX nuts fit the black wheels perfectly.

My question is this: Did anyone make copies of Revolution RFX wheels in 12" flavour as this seems to be what I have? Or are they an earlier type? Or are they not RFXs at all, but something very similar from another make?

Thanks muchly. Was not aware that JBW made a copy version.

There are no obvious marks on mine but the paint is also thick - looks like several coats of black hammerite.

I shall go looking for some 59mm push in caps.
