Hi everyone, I’m looking to get my Speedo calibrated and my tachometer converted to work with electronic ignition for my 1275gt , at the moment it seems a little slow and jumpy. I’ve looked at a lot of places but they all seem to have terrible reviews . Does anyone know a good place to send them. I live in south east London.

I second speedycables. I posted mine all the way from Malaysia to have it calibrated. They did an absolutely fantastic job, and the speedo came back like brand new!

When you want your speedo calibrated they have some measurements they need you to take as it has to be correctly set against your gearbox and your wheel size.

Mmmmm my speedo was calibrated by Speedy but I don't think it's very accurate, appears to over read by about 20%.
But given the customer has to take various measurements and they use them as the basis of their calibration it's quite likely that the previous owner who had it done wasn't very good with a tape measure ☺️

I looked at speedy cables but their reviews were quite bad , I think they only have a 2.7 out of 5 stars. Just wasn’t 100% sure that they were the best choice

It is reasonably easy to check if the speedo is operating at the correct speed. You need the inner of a speedo cable and a way to turn it at a known speed.

There is a number on the face of the speedo which is how many turns per mile/km. If you turn the cable at that speed it should be at 60. you can calculate what it should read at other input speeds.
