Hello

 

This car came to my view. I would like to ask how much worth in your opinion. The seller asks 8600 EUR but it is over my treshold.

 

I haven't seen it in person yet. It looks pretty unmolested with matching numbers, but need a complete resto.

8k for an unmolested mk1 is pretty much a bargain, you cannot buy originality, I'm not sure why you say it needs a complete resto, from the pictures the bottom looks good and so does the body, mechanically who knows but that's an easy bit. Its an original hydro car which means it's rare, buy it, pump the hydro up and see what you have. Remember MK1's are only going one way price wise, you cannot loose if the pictures are correct.

You say you cant afford it, so perhaps this is all a moot point, but I beg to differ on the above opinions.

 

Anyway all the normal caveats apply here, buyer beware, also we (in the UK) don't know the home market in Budapest for Classic Minis, and even tough it seems cheap in UK terms, and may not need a full resto on the face of it, it will likely need a considerable amount of time and money spending on it.

 

We all hope Classic Mini prices are going up, but the way the world is going, who knows.

 

I would say only buy it if you really want it, and you can do the work yourself, and you have money to spare on buying parts and aren't worried about it not being worth what you spent in a few years time.
