Out here in the far reaches of the 'Commonwealth', few suppliers seem to carry the flat headed wheel studs for 8.4" disc brake drive flanges.  And, I see mention that the standard wheel nut studs are not necessarily suitable for aftermarket alloy wheels.

So, what to do?  The standard Cooper S wheel nut studs that seat in the rotor are slightly longer than the std 8.4" flange items BUT have a tapered head.

Is there another alternative to the standard 3/8"UNF stud?  Or...would the S wheel nut studs be safe to use?  Or, Grade 8 3/8"UNF bolts?

Thought there was only clearance issues with the Domed head studs on the S brakes.

though everything else used the domed heads.  Mmmm maybe the Metro used flats as well.

to be fair I might be talking ******** as it has been years since I needed flat head ones.

I do have a few though.

Rick, the 'Flat Head' studs are for the 7.5's so the clear the caliper.

You can use them in the 8.4's as long as they don't end up too long if you have blind nuts.
