Hi there,

today I wanted to install my new cobras I've ordered one year ago. After unpacking I instantly saw, that my originally mounted subframe differs from the cobra subframe in many ways. First of all, I have two cross members, the original subframe is mounted with 4 screws, 2 each subframe. Second, the width is different, so the existing screwholes in both crossmembers are wider than the cobra subframe. Third, there is no bracket in the front, nor a floor hoop in the back.

1. Question: Do I need this part for the front mounting? 24A1495:

2. Question: Do I need this part for the front mounting? HFU10001:

3. Question: Will I be able to mount those parts into my car, even though there was a different system being used before?

4. Question: Could someone please send me some pictures of the mounted parts in Question 1 and 2, if possible without carpet?

Thank you

Fabian

Your old seating mounting is nothing like original.

it looks like someone did a custom job for the seats that they fitted.

the parts you have linked to may or may not fit your build.

well the ones for the front might if the captive nuts are there. But as you have a extra crossmember in there the hoop will have nowhere to go.

I would be talking to your local specialist as you are going to have to make changes.

Thank you for your answers.

No, it's not a convertible, but yes, the car was inside completely customized.

I talked to my mechanic and he said, we should be able to instal 24A1495. We will put in some dummy nuts and so we should be able to fit it in.

The hoop in the back is now the issue. We will check if we can find the original holes. If not, we will design a custom hoop (flat bar and bend it twice) with two 90 degree angle and mount it between both cross members in order to let it snap in.

I'll keep you updated.
