There’s a mini picture on Pinterest but I think as I’m using an iOS based browser I’m unable to access all of pinterests features?

The wording on the picture that’s shown is the issue.. I’d like to find out who posted this originally?
The picture is a saved pin on the account of f behmer and not necessarily his creation or original upload. I think I’m right in saying that there’s always a trace all the way back to the op built into the pictures somewhere?

It's tagged with "weird wacky and wonderful mini" can't see a user name for the poster, but I'm not an avid Pinterest user so I don't know the intricacies of it.

I’m trying to find out who was the person who placed the comment.
Yes was burnt out following a carb fire that couldn’t be put out due to failed in date fire extinguishers. The same ones (extinguishers) were tested in mini mag and did the same thing.

Exactly, it’s defamation as it’s an instantly recognisable vehicle to its old owner.

Ok, so we have been and spoken to someone who says they can investigate professionally but it’s going to cost a fair bit of money. I’m likely going to have to go this very expensive route but I’d like to avoid it if possible.
I’d be happy to pay someone who is good with this kind of thing on a prosecution result based agreement.

Open to anyone who can find the original comment creator with proof that leads to prosecution public or private..

I’m guessing that there’s more to this. As you say,  throw away comment from some internet idiot is best ignored.

yes there’s more to it.. there always is :)
Sadly we cannot say more but help will be well rewarded.

If it was just a usual comment then yes it can and would be ignored. The theft and illegal activity slur is different.. especially when viewed as part of a larger issue.
It’s not something we can or will let ride

We have contacted Pinterest who’ve done absolutely nothing to remove it. I can say that honestly as multiple attempts have been made.
