Hi all,

Have some rust coming through on the drivers side inner wheel arch - where the floor meets the inner arch.

Is there a repair panel for this ?

I am assuming it is the floor panel and toe board/ inner arch panel but not very clear to see which is which bit online

please see attached photos

You actually need the toe board and a front floor section. I'd personally double skin the toe board so you can run solid subframe mounts

Put in a new floor panel and then the other can be made easily.

There's a little more going on there than just the flitch panel and what appears to be a so corrosion on a small part of the floor panel and toeboard.

There appears to be a patch on the sill as well so the question here is, what sill has it got fitted?? Oversill or standard short sill??

What do you want?a repair or a possibly lengthy restoration. As Sonnik says there is more lurking.A sound repair is easily possible with hand formed sheet and the area is quite easy to access and repair.I am not suggesting a bodge.Steve..

Cut out all the rust and then just buy some metal and work something out. It doesn't need to be perfectly shaped etc. because it's not an externally visible panel.

I believe it has the short sills fitted the ones with open vent holes

Thanks for all the replies I think this winter I will tackle it as I want to remove all the foam insulation from behind the engine so might be a good time if the engine is out and I can flip the shell over

So that’s relatively good news then so hopefully no nasties hiding there which we see oh so often on here.

I think the best thing you can do is fully wire brush every that appears to be affected and I mean using a twisted wire cup on a grinder.

Then you will get a better overall picture of what is actually affected. The problem with minis as I have reiterated countlessly over the year is minis rust from the inside out especially in any seams, so for example where the flitch wraps around the floor/ inner sill/ toe board.
