Get a metallic grating sound that seems to come from rear left hand side if  doing a hard right turn ( like going right on a mini roundabout )- any ide what it could be - am I thinking subframe , shock absorber , other suspension or wheel ?

thanks folks

I had a similar sound and it turned out to be the brake drum contacting the aftermarket back plate. Removed the drum and found metal filings as well as bare metal on the back plate lip. Took a grinder/flap wheel to the lip and jobs a good'un.

A return spring broke once. It made a horrible noise.

I also think it's brake drum. Mine does a bit of squeaking when turning left but which has got much better with just driving it a bit. I have some new drums and shoes to go on so plan to have a look at some point.
