Hello,

I have recently become the owner of a 1992 Rover Mini Sprite, my first ever Mini! The car seems to be in fabulous condition barring one issue. The bonnet seems to sit about an inch further forward than it should do. I've noted that on the bulkhead hinge brackets there are three possible mounting locations. My Bonnet is currently using the mount furthest forward. It seems if I were to move to the furthest back position this will mostly solve the issue.

But my question is, which is the "correct" mounting position for this car? Is it position A, B, or C, as per the image below.

Many thanks

Dan

You will need to see if B or C will allow you to clear the scuttle with the C part of the hinge bracket.

I moved mine only to find it fouled on B and C, solution was to grind the slots on the bonnet longer to allow more backwards adjustment.

Thank you colinf1. So you did you end up back in hole A but with the bonnet holes extended?

Sorry for the delayed response, yes, back at A with elongated slots.
